I have a ~100mile/day commute, most of which is highway driving. The trip is ~50miles each way, and I make in in 1:00hr to 1:05hr normally. About half of the trip I'm going 70-80mph (well above the limit, but still "with the flow of traffic"). The ~5mpg drop in highway MPG from summer to winter is much greater than any car I've ever driven. My new year's resolution is to kick my driving speed down to 60-70mph. I'll be interested to see if the MPG drop from summer to winter reduces.
